April 2021- WAPA has continued to advocate for increased access to behavioral treatment for families with Medicaid. WAPA is pleased to share that a 25% rate increase for behavioral treatment was included in the Governor's state budget proposal for 2021-2023. WAPA is now working with members of the State Legislature, most notably Senator Jacque and Representative Murphy, to keep increased funding for autism treatment in the state budget. You can support this effort by contacting your state legislators and telling them why autism treatment access is important to you.
